The project's public consultation was carried out to provide the local community and environmental organisations with as much information as possible about the Outer Port and the measures being taken to minimise the risk of adverse effects from its construction.

The implementation of such a large and complex investment project requires that information on the key assumptions of the project, the expected results and its impact on the lives of the residents and the environment be made available. Particular attention must be paid to the impact of the project on the living conditions of the residents of Gdynia and on the natural environment.

Therefore, Port of Gdynia S.A. has taken steps to gain project approval among the local community, to address concerns and, in some cases, to jointly develop alternative solutions.

These include information and consulting activities and have resulted in a report describing the level of knowledge about the project and the extent to which it is accepted by the inhabitants of Gdynia. It also contains opinions of environmental organisations and will be included in the environmental impact assessment for the planned investment project.
